Safe Sitter® is a comprehensive 4-hour program designed to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to stay home alone, care for younger siblings, or begin their babysitting careers. This instructor-led course blends essential safety education with interactive games and hands-on role-playing activities.

Safety & Emergency Preparedness: Students learn to identify and prevent unsafe situations, along with specific protocols for handling power failures, weather emergencies, and other potential hazards.

Child Care & Development: The curriculum covers the "ages and stages" of child development, providing practical experience in behavior management and infant care skills like diapering.

Life-Saving Medical Skills: Participants practice critical techniques, including choking rescue and CPR, often cited as the most impactful part of the program. They also learn a systematic approach to assessing and responding to basic injuries and illnesses.

Business & Professionalism: To set students up for long-term success, the course covers the "business" of babysitting—including how to screen potential jobs, discuss fees professionally, and greet employers with confidence. 

 Safe@Home by Safe Sitter® is a 90-minute program designed for students in grades 4-6 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone.   

Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. The program is designed to prepare students for their first steps towards independence.
