Job Description
You will teach essential safety, childcare, and life skills to groups of students.
- Flexible schedule: You choose the days, times, and locations you want to teach. No minimum weekly commitment.
- Class length: Courses range from 60 minutes to 5+ hours depending on the booking. See our course descriptions for details on each course.
- Location: This is a mobile teaching role. You will pick up teaching materials, then drive to the course site to teach.
- Compensation: Competitive, and based on your professional background and experience.
What We Provide
- All teaching materials, supplies, and equipment
- The required 4-hour Safe Sitter® Instructor training, at no cost to you, for roles that require it
- All scheduling, registration, and payment processing
- All course evaluation and completion forms
Requirements
- A college degree (a graduate-level degree is preferred; education or nursing backgrounds are ideal)
- At least 2 years of experience working with children or families
- A completed background check, either through your current employer or obtained independently
- Current CPR certification with a hands-on skills component (Red Cross or Code One are both accepted; this can be completed before your first class)
- A cover letter and resume with at least two professional references; applications without these will not be considered.
- Willingness to complete the 4-hour Safe Sitter® Instructor training, for roles that require it
- A valid US driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Willingness to teach a minimum of 4 courses per year
