Job Description

• As a SafeSitter ® Instructor, you will be teaching essential safety, childcare, and life skills to small groups of 6 to 8 students.
• Flexible Schedule: You are in control. You only accept the days, times, and locations you want to teach!
• Class Lengths: Courses range from 60 minutes to 5+ hours depending on the booking. Please review our course descriptions for more information.
• Location: This is a mobile role. You will travel to pick up your teaching materials and then drive to the course site to teach.
• Compensation will be competitive and aligned with the candidate’s professional background and experience. One hour of pay is included with each course to cover travel costs.

What We Provide

• All teaching materials, supplies, and equipment.
• The required 4-hour SafeSitter® Instructor training to get you fully certified and ready to teach.
• All scheduling, registration, and payments.
• All course evaluation and completion forms. 

Requirements:

• 18+ years of age
• 2+ years experience working with children, specifically grades 4-8.
• Completed background check (unless currently employed by a school district).
• CPR certified with skills component (check out Red Cross or Code One for course options - you can do this before you teach the first course)
• Resume with at least two references
• Willingness to complete the 4-hour SafeSitter ® instructor training
• Valid US driver's license and vehicle
• Willingness to teach four (4) courses a year
